Overview:
Helen Erswell – Public Health Wales, gave an update on the Stautory levy:
50% to Treatment Services, 20% to research UKRI and 30% to Prevention. £110million in total.
There is no NHS clinic in Wales at the moment, a pathway group is to be set up April 2025.
No clarification on how much of the levy will come into Wales. Welsh Government will hold the money for Treatment.
Focus on Prevention – currently no provider has been named as the prevention commissioner.
